HLCGA Rules

Amended Rules of the Association were adopted at the Annual General Meeting in 2006 and amended in November 2008 to take account of the change of name from ELGA to EWGA (English Ladies’ toWomen’s Golf Association) and the change from its divisional to regional structure (our move from the old SE Division to the new South Region).

Amended Rules of the Association were adopted at the Annual General Meeting in 2011 to take account of the change of title Press Officer to Website/Press Officer (Rule 8e), and to add the Competitions Secretary to the list of Officers following the division of the Hon Sec’s duties into two posts (Rule 8c).

In 2012 the Rules of the Association were amended to reflect the changes brought about by the merger of EWGA and the English Golf Union to form England Golf. These amended rules were adopted at the AGM in November 2012.

In 2015 the Rules of the Association were amended to remove the Competitions Secretary from the list of Officers following the merger of this role back into one role carried out by the Hon Secretary (rule 8c), and rule 8d (The Representative to the England Golf South Region Committee shall be elected by the Club Delegates at a Delegates’ Meeting.) was removed as there is no longer a South Region Committee. The amended rules were adopted at the AGM in November 2015.
