2018 saw the first Squad Training day for several years for Hampshire Team players. Over twenty players from the First and Second teams met at Hockley at 09.00 starting the day with tea and coffee and some enormous bacon rolls.
Peter Taylor (a Mind Coach) led us in an ice breaker activity before guiding us in positive thinking about why we play and enjoy playing golf. This was to be our focus we play golf because we enjoy golf, so remember to ENJOY.
Gary Stubbington Lead Professional from Hockley and Chris Kilgannon Assistant Pro had prepared the practice ground with numerous skill tests which occupied everyone for over two hours. When was the last time you spent two hours in varied and constructive practice at the range?
After lunch the majority of players went onto the course and competition came to the fore.
Thank you to Peter Taylor, Gary Stubbington and Chris Kilgannon for their encouragement and support during the day.
